  • Co-Founder of Mind Moving Therapy

I learn SO MUCH from the neurodivergent thinkers I work with. Let’s learn together how to best support you.

Different. Not Less.

At Mind Moving Therapy, we see neurodiverse thinkers as important shapers in our society. Our therapists strive to leave behind outdated teachings, such as nontypical thinking described as “disordered”. We like to embrace different, and help our clients to identify how they would prefer to succeed in the world. Both Aricka and Lauren have worked with individuals who are diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, OCD, and other neurodiverse thinkers for many years and feel passionate about working from a strength-based theoretical approach. Finding the right therapist for you can make all the difference when it comes to developing growth through talk therapy. Our therapists possess an understanding of the field that may help you in untangling the social nuances of others or identifying areas of strengths or struggles, such as hypo or hypersensitivity, overlapping anxiety, and feelings of exhaustion due to social masking. If you are ready to bring a growth mindset to the therapy space, we are ready to help you move beyond your current ceiling of success.

Affirming Support

The way we live our lives is largely determined based on how we feel about ourselves. In a society that commonly favors neurotypical thinkers, our therapists strive to offer support to be confident in who you are, as you are. Whether you have a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, a developmental or learning disorder, or share traits with these experiences, you do not have to conform to treatment goals that neglect your preferences for forward growth and movement. Through the lens of neurodiversity-affirming therapy, you can remove feelings of unwanted masking, self-shaming, and a focus on deficits. Let’s develop your self-esteem and self-worth so that you may THRIVE!

  • Licensed Professional Counselor

I love working with individuals with an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis, or those with shared traits with autism. I hope you’ll feel comfortable being yourself during our therapy time.
