Today, I’m a therapist. I used to be a public policy professional and an elite athlete.

Through one-on-one individual therapy and small group therapy, I help my clients begin a journey of upward movement through performance counseling. Whether you are an athlete, a student striving for academic achievement, or an individual seeking career growth, performance counseling can help you reach the next level. I believe this starts with some personal disclosure as you deserve to know my own stories of upward movement. I graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Purdue University, where I was a three-time Olympic Trials qualifier, two-time Honorable Mention All-America, and proud Team Captain as a member of the Purdue Women’s Swim Team. After graduating from Purdue, I took the lessons I’d learned as a student-athlete into the “real world,” where I lived a life full of juggled priorities for many years. I was a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Public Policy Professional by day, and by night, a master’s student, and by weekend, a clinician completing my practicum work. After graduating with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health from the University of North Texas and completing my LPC training, I continued to juggle my public policy world with my clinical world for several years. It’s been my life’s dream to move away from a juggled professional focus and start a therapy practice, one that I am proud to realize as a co-founder of Mind Moving Therapy.

In addition to Performance Counseling, I am a Certified Autism Specialist and love working with neurodivergent thinkers.

I believe in Temple Grandin’s declaration, “I am different, not less.” If you are looking for growth or emotional healing and are living a neurodivergent experience, or share attributes with Autism or ADHD, I would love to help! My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and to help you find growth in your relationships and personal wellness. I have worked with individuals with autism since before I was a licensed clinician.  My passion for working with this population extends into years of clinical practice in various settings, including inpatient hospital, intensive outpatient, women's shelter, community clinic, and for the last six years, in private practice. 

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time outside hiking, walking, swimming, performing yoga, and reading. You could also find me flipping through comic books, watching anime shows, or relaxing on my back porch.

When I first began helping individuals with their goals and mental health, I began in the collegiate athletics setting. While working with collegiate athletes, I supported championship-bowl winning football athletes.

Today, I continue to love working with young college-aged adults, as well as teens and adults of all ages. It was important to me to fully pursue my educational training as I followed my dream to become a therapist.
